The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) announced that it will continue its narrow scope and closed-circuit pilot application tests in collaboration with technology stakeholders in the first quarter of 2023. It was also mentioned that the findings obtained from these tests would be shared with the public through a comprehensive evaluation report.

The Digital Turkish Lira Collaboration Platform will expand in 2023 with the participation of selected banks and financial technology companies, and extensive pilot tests will be conducted in advanced phases. Within this framework, tests related to unique architectural designs, such as the use of distributed ledger technologies in payment ecosystems and integration with instant payment systems, will continue.
